This page describes each of the experiences available within RapportTalk.

Write a Message helps you consider your own intentions as well as the well-being of your conversation partner as guidance for crafting a respectful and connection-focused message.  It crafts a message for you that expresses your authentic feelings and needs while honoring the other person's as well.

In response to the context you provide including the length you want, the app crafts a message for you and explains how it demonstrates the six essential skills of emotional intelligence.  You can iterate on your guidance to the app until you get a message that feels right for you to send.

Evaluate the emotional intelligence of any message you provide.  Paste in any message you want to evaluate — yours or someone elses.  The app will analyze the verbal behaviors exhibited relative to the six essential skills of emotional intelligence

If you want to record a conversation with your conversation partner, get a transcript, and evaluate the emotional intelligence of what each person brought to the conversation, the Practice Emotional Intelligence feature facilitates this best.

Practice Emotional Intelligence displays a practice scenario, either video or audio.  After you consume the scenario, the app records your audio while you practice reading a script or freewheeling it with an intention for communication and connection.  You'll receive feedback from the app about the emotional energy you're projecting based on Hume.AI's algorithm for measuring expressions of emotion.

You can request an immediate evaluation of the emotional intelligence with which you expressed yourself that will amaze you, especially if you record a conversation between the two of you!

I want to dialogue with "Chad" about a relationship situation
to exercise my self-awareness and emotional intelligence.

Return-to-Love Process™

Custom-scripted conversations to address your specific relationship situation with emotional intelligence

I want to continue my most recent Return-to-Love™ situation and explore a collaborative conversation with my conversation partner.

I want to describe a new Return-to-Love™ situation with my conversation partner and start a collaborative conversation with them about it.
(I want to see example values in the data fields.)

I want to describe a new Return-to-Love™ situation with my conversation partner and start a collaborative conversation with them about it.
(I want to see empty data fields.)

I want to browse all my Return-to-Love™ situations and all the collaborative conversations about them.

I want facilitation for The Work of Byron Katie to examine the truth value of an unsettling thought or belief that's undermining my well-being so I can take back the power I've given it over my happiness.

RapportTalk™ with "Chad" demonstrates generative emotional intelligence™ in a conversation with you about a troubling relationship situation.

Here's how it works:

  1. You tell "Chad" about a relationship situation you're experiencing.
  2. Chad replies with observations and questions.
  3. You can think about and feel into what Chad said, then answer back.
  4. You might be surprised to see where this goes if you're willing to be open and honest with Chad.
  5. Chad's responses offers a [ Show more ] button.  Clicking [ Show more ] shows observations or questions that go a level deeper.

Be advised:  If you're like most people, these wake-up activities can occasionally raise an impulse to disconnect — a desire to close down and withdraw from your own deeper awareness — an awareness that you're feeling vulnerable.  Being able to feel that discomfort without resisting it means you've hit "paydirt".

Once you can observe and acknowledge uncomfortable sensations and your resistance to feeling them, your newfound awareness liberates the energy tied up in resisting awareness.

You reclaim your power by being willing to feel vulnerable.  Who knew??!!

How The Return-to-Love Process™ works:

After you describe your relationship situation, you click the button [ Save the situation and script a conversation ].
The process will deliver a script for a collaborative dialogue about your situation with your conversation partner.

Our 5-minute video describes the Return-to-Love Process™ and what may be waiting there for you and your conversation partner.

We encourage you to set up a successful experience with your conversation partner in which you can enact the script together.

At the top of the script where your situation description is documented, it asks your conversation partner if they agree with your description of the situation and your description of their feelings and important experiences that they feel are unfulfilled.

That's a great opportunity for you to listen attentively and seek understanding of their experience in the situation you described before diving into enacting the script.

In The Work of Byron Katie, we identify an unsettling thought and question its truth value.

In her book Loving What Is: Four Questions That Can Change Your Life, Byron Katie guides us through a process for examining unsettling thoughts or beliefs that undermine our well-being.  The application facilitates your process as you explore The Work of Byron Katie.

The Work is simply four questions that, when applied to a specific problem, enable you to see what is troubling you in an entirely different light.

As Katie says, "It's not the problem that causes our suffering; it's our thinking about the problem."

Contrary to popular belief, "trying to let go of a painful thought" holds it more tightly, pushing it further into the dark; instead, once we've done The Work, the thought lets go of us.  Then we can truly love what is, just as it is.  And keep moving with a boost of creative energy.
