Welcome to The Work of Byron Katie as described in
"Loving What Is:  Four Questions That Can Change Your Life"

Interacting with this application, which exhibits generative emotional intelligence™, exercises your self-awareness and emotional intelligence as you inquire about the truth of a troubling thought or belief using a process known as The Work.

Please tell me a thought or a belief about a situation that's disturbing your well-being.

Some people are tempted to think they can do The Work in their heads.
Time has demonstrated again and again the transformative power of committing your thoughts to paper
or to a digital medium as you work with them.  (This is about much more than your memory.)

This inquiry is about:

Q1:  "Is it true?"

PersonA's answer:

Q3:  How do I react, what happens, when I believe the thought, ...
When I hold this idea as true, how does that affect my experience?

PersonA's answer:

Q4:  "Who would I be without that thought?"
If my story about this could never again intrude into my awareness, how would that change my experience?

PersonA's answer:

Turnarounds

A "turnaround" is a way of looking at the troubling thought from different perspectives, especially its opposites.
The point of this is to ask, "In what way is this turnaround as true as or truer than the troubling thought?"

For example, if the troubling thought is "PersonB should be more considerate about what makes me angry," the turnarounds might be ...

If you sit with each of your turnarounds without resistance, can you find the truth value in each one?

Being creative about finding more turnarounds can actually be fun as well as illuminating.
